(NSi) and Fujitsu Computer Products of America (FCPA), Inc. to offer CaptureFLOW™, an end-to-end case file management solution at a packaged price point. CaptureFLOW consists of NSi’s Case File Management Software, powered by AutoStore®, the Fujitsu color duplex network scanner, the fi-6010N iScanner and EDAC’s integration and implementation expertise.
As a stand-alone solution, CaptureFLOW provides the ability to process, index, route, track and store case files with ease, and employs advance process components such as OCR, barcode recognition and forms recognition. Also, CaptureFLOW can function as an information “on-ramp” to other Investigative Case Management Systems, such as EDAC’s CaseFLOW™. CaseFLOW captures and maps the collection, tracking, management and disposition of evidence. From the crime scene all the way through the prosecution of a case in court, the combination of CaptureFLOW and CaseFLOW can seamlessly manage the lifecycle of evidence, with no break in the chain of custody.
This Public Defenders Case File Management solution enables the user to preview, index and route documents to a variety of destinations and allows archiving directly to many well-known document management systems such as Oracle’s Universal Content Manager, Interwoven, Microsoft’s SharePoint, and other existing case management and legal applications such as Hummingbird, Summation and Concordance. In CaptureFLOW offered by EDAC, the capture of documents is performed by the Fujitsu fi-6010N iScanner, a color duplex network scanner. The fi-6010N features a large touch screen display for easier data entry and image viewing, a 50 page ADF and can scan up to 25 pages per minute (ppm) and 50 images per minute (ipm) duplex with resolution options up to 600dpi. Its compact footprint and long document scanning capabilities make it a great fit for legal environments where distributed capture will be most efficient.
